There’s something about sipping a great crafted cocktail that can transport you to another time and place.
A warm Irish coffee will forever take me back to my first night in Dublin at The Temple Bar, where music filled my soul and the fresh, hand-whipped cream atop my drink found its way to the tip of my nose. Sangria will now forever remind me of savoring every sip of my incredible drink, while sitting at a Taverna below the cliffs on the edge of the Adriatic Sea in Ammoudi Bay, Santorini.
There are so many cocktails associated with various places around the world that can easily be recreated at home, which is why I wanted to share three travel-inspired cocktails from some of my favorite trips around the world.
Of course I had to bring home an Irish Whiskey from from my Ireland road trip, and when the Irish liquor store owner hand picks Dingle’s limited-edition, 3rd small batch, triple-distilled single malt Irish whiskey for you…you buy it!
I wanted this travel-inspired cocktail to have fall vibes, since my Irish road trip was in the fall season, and Simply Bella’s Vanilla Apple Simple Syrup was the perfect addition of sweet and spice this drink needed! (I linked the cinnamon apple simple syrup since the vanilla apple was sold out, but any of those fall flavored simple syrups would pair well with this cocktail!)
Some of my favorite memories in Ireland were cozying up in a warm pub to escape the cold, while listening to live music and sipping on a Guinness or some Irish whiskey–and this cocktail is a recipe for nostalgia.
Brought back home with me from my recent trip to Cabo, this extra smooth (no burn!) tequila is the perfect addition to my Mexico travel-inspired cocktail!
One sip and I was transported back to those white sandy beaches, stunning luxury resorts and breathtaking multicolored sunsets.
My favorite sunset of the trip was admired from The Rooftop at The Cape Hotel–Cabo San Lucas’ only rooftop bar and lounge! Whether you’re staying at the hotel or not (but you totally should, as it’s a dream) be sure and make reservations at The Rooftop so you can experience it for yourself!
Offering stunning views of the ocean and the famous arch (El Arco), along with sweeping views of downtown Cabo San Lucas, it had me flashing back to rooftop dinners in Santorini, Greece with vastly similar views!

The Saints 75 is Commander’s Palace’s spin on the classic French 75 cocktail, and one of my personal favorites! I fell in love with it the first time I ordered it at Commander’s famous Jazz Brunch, and now it’s my go-to drink whenever I dine there.
Since my soul will always miss living in New Orleans, I (of course) had to add this drink to my list of travel-inspired cocktails from around the world!
I spiced the recipe up a little bit by using Empress 1908 Gin’s beautiful, all natural indigo colored gin that is made from butterfly pea blossoms which gives it subtle, earthy notes.
